Cornwall

3 great things about Cornwall

It looks like staycations may be on the cards this year after all! This is great news for those of us who like to escape from time-to-time and even better news for my blog and some Patricia Bech UK adventures as I can start reporting from destinations again!

I am yearning for foreign travel to resume, but a staycation will definitely be a fun thing to do in the meantime. Obviously we have to keep an eye on the virus data but hopefully with the vaccination programme being rolled out, freedom is close!

Road trips will be popular this year and I will plan some for the Patricia Bech Travel Notes

With the news that staycations are highly likely to be possible this year, I thought I would do a short post about Cornwall. It is such a popular place to visit during the summer and there are many reasons why. It is hard to pick three reasons why Cornwall is such a great place, but if I don’t focus on just three, I could go on and on forever!

So here goes, here are three great things for the Patricia Bech Travel Notes about Cornwall and why I am sure that it will be one of the most popular staycation destinations of the year!

Cornwall is a great place to visit

Beautiful beaches

Yep, you guessed it! Beaches are top of the list when it comes to Cornwall. The coast is very beautiful and you can make the most of golden sandy beaches and also some more dramatic coastline.

Fresh food

Whenever I visit somewhere I am always concerned with the food and how good it the local produce tastes. There is plenty of fresh fish in Cornwall to enjoy and some really good restaurants. Also, for those with a sweet tooth, Cornwall is the home of the mouth-wateringly good Cornish clotted cream! Perhaps try some with an Afternoon Tea.

Stunning sea life

Being on the coast has the advantage of being near some special wildlife. Not only will you be able to see wildlife on land, but the sea is home to dolphins, whales and even some seals. A trip out on a boat is well worth it.
