Freedom day travel dreams!

There are rumours swirling that travel restrictions will ease for people who have received both shots of the vaccination when freedom day arrives. I cannot wait for July 19th so that we can at least make some steps back towards how life used to be and I can start writing about trips away for my Patricia Bech Travel Notes.

I am not quite there yet with my double shot of the vaccination but it won’t be too long. I am so glad that we are finally making our way out of this situation. I definitely think that it is going to take a long time for us to get back to normal but at least we can start to plan now.

Travel is such an important part of my DNA. I have been on an interesting journey since we were first put into lockdown. I have had to come to terms with not being allowed to do the one thing that I absolutely love to do! At first I was very frustrating and found it very sad. That said, I was ofcourse aware that we needed to keep everyone as safe as possible. I learned to live without travelling and realised that there are other things in life that we can enjoy.

I am not going to lie though, I really can’t wait to get back to it. Below is a list of 5 places that are now on my priority list to visit when we are allowed to get going again.

Greece – at this time of year I love seeing the colour pictures of the streets on the Greek islands. Pink flowers against a beautiful backdrop of white houses and blue sea make me envious!

America – I think I would like to go to the East Coast first. I miss the fun of America and every time I visit I have a really fun trip.

Ireland – Closer to home but great for walking trips. I would love to go back to Ireland to do some hiking.

UK – Although we have been stuck here for a while there are still many place to explore from London to tiny villages, I do love this country.

Indian Ocean – Whether it is the Maldives, Seychelles or Mauritius – nothing beats the beaches on these islands!
