Beaches, walking and city life – Wales has a lot to offer

One thing is for sure – Covid made the staycation fashionable and more popular than ever! I mean I have always loved visiting different parts of the UK, but it is not that long ago that we literally couldn’t really visit anywhere else. We were trapped on a beautiful island and instead of browsing flight and hotels abroad, people started to visit and discover new places to holiday on home shores.

Travelling into Wales is exciting as soon as you cross the bridge

I have always been a huge lover of Wales. I think it is a lovely part of the UK and I have visited many times before. It is definitely somewhere that I hope carries on being a popular holiday destination even though we can now travel further afield.

Here are some of the reasons to consider booking a trip to Wales this summer.

Beautiful beaches

It has amazing beaches. In fact there are so many to chose from that you may find it difficult to decide on where to go. The Gower is very famous and a popular place for people to visit during the summer months. It has won many awards and is classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Wonderful walking

Whether you decide to visit Snowdonia or the Brecon Beacons, there are miles and miles of incredible walks to enjoy in Wales. It is also a really good place to holiday with a pet and there are places to stay that allow dogs to enjoy the scenery as well.

Buzzing cities

Cardiff and Swansea have great nightlife and we fun to visit for a city break. Personally I would mix up a city break with a country escape in Wales so that you get the both of best worlds. But for those who like the urban centres, there are some great cities and towns to explore in this part of the world.
